If you’ve been paying attention to our social media channels, you’ll know that we already announced the date for our next event as December 5th.
We’re really pleased to now share that tickets are available to our friends! You can grab yours here, using code ROCKETJUMPBLOG to reveal the early access ticket.
This edition of Rocket Jump is all about the business of indie games, and our content will reflect that. Hosted by Lauran Carter (a returning Rocket Jump favourite!), we’ll be showcasing games from studios, designers and developers who are going their own way. And our talks are all going to be about what it means to be independent, and how to succeed in this highly competitive space.
It’s never been easier to make a game, which is fantastic – but this creates new challenges for independent creators, who now face a wealth of tooling options and have to find a way to stand out in a crowded field.
Our speakers will be your expert guides! We’ll be sharing more about each of them over the next few weeks, but the schedule includes Jonny Hopper (Glowmade), Jessica Saunders (Salix Games), and Des Gayle (Fellow Traveller). We’ll also have a panel of indie publishers to discuss the state of the industry and take your questions. We can’t wait to hear what they have to say, and we can’t wait to see you all, so get your tickets and come on down and join us.
Once the talking is done, we’ll be immediately following the event with Guildford Gamedev Drinks, a chance to mingle further with the local community and have a few drinks and/or slices of pizza. It’s going to be a great day!
Rocket Jump couldn’t exist without our organisers and the help of our generous sponsors. Our organisers for this event are Etch Play and Liquid Crimson. This edition is supported by Modern Wolf, Glowmade, GlobalStep, LVP, and Stellar Entertainment.
If you have any questions, want to join our list of amazing sponsors, or just have anything you want to tell us, then you can reach out to us by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org.
